Set on a west-facing slope of the Bodrum peninsula, the site has a steep gradient and old terrace walls lined with olive trees. Following the traces of these walls, the design treats the buildings not as a single large mass but as horizontal platforms spread across the topography. Each platform turns the roof of the one below into a garden, minimising the footprint of the development as seen from the sea.
The houses are built with a restrained palette of local stone, exposed concrete and natural timber. Deep eaves and shaded semi-open spaces provide natural cooling in summer, while sliding façades almost entirely dissolve the boundary between inside and outside.
Vehicle traffic is gathered at the upper level of the settlement, leaving the footpaths, stairs and small squares below entirely to pedestrians. The project thus reads less like a housing development and more like a small Aegean village with its own streets and meeting places.
